Planning

1. Knowledge gaining:
Students will gain knowledge of Egyptian life by visiting two interactive websites that allow students to learn basic information with interactive approaches. The websites allow them to complete activities and take quizes.

2. Knowledge organizing:
Students will organize their knowledge of Egyptian life by working individually and in groups to organize information. First, students will work individually to find information on Egyptian Pharaohs and post the pro's and con's to a Google Doc. Next, students will work in pairs to find information on Cleopatra and work in pairs to complete activities and a quiz. Lastly, they will work individually to write a paragraph comparing their life to those of ancient Egypt.

3. Knowledge sharing:
Students will share their work in a variety of ways. First they will share their pro's and con's of being a Egyptian Pharaoh on Google Doc's. Next they will post their personal reflection on the difference between their life and that of an ancient Egyptian.

Preparation
  1. Teacher will have to create a Google Doc which includes a table with three columns and multiple rows so students can enter their name and pro's and con's of being an Egyptian Pharaoh.
  2. Teacher will have to set up a new blog for the comparison paragraph.
